One of my favorite movies of all time is The Seventh Seal. Featuring Max Von Sydow, this 1957 Swedish film is about a man returning to his plague ravaged home from the Crusades, only to be met by Death himself. To stave off the inevitable, he engages in a game of chess with Death. I’m sure you can guess how it ends (the same way everything ends) but I guarantee it will be one of the most beautifully haunting things you will ever watch. It helped me with my perceptions of death, yet there are still a lot of personal feelings I cannot shake.
